AGM for 2009

The 2009 AGM for PDPI is just around the corner. After all the unpleasant incidents that hadtaken place for the year 2008, I hope residents/owners can open their eyes. Look around our PDPI and judge for yourselves, evaluate the deeds/misdeeds done by the present MC members and give them marks for the annual report cards for 2008.

The following is an open letter sent by a resident.

Open Letter to All Residents

http://pdpi.blogspot.com/

Our AGM is scheduled to be held on Sunday 12th April 2009.
All Residents should get together to device a System or Rules to control and prevent abuses by future MCs. This System or Rules must be passed at the AGM.
We need to control powers of future MC so that they carry out the wishes of the residents because the residents are their Boss. If no action is taken at this AGM, then you are going to suffer for another year.

General Information:
i). Election of MC members will be by polling as approved at previous AGM.
ii). Maximum of 14 members can be elected.
iii). In order to kick out the present MC ( 6 of them who make use of thugs to threaten residents), residents must prepare a list of 14 names of Candidates to vote in the coming AGM. So plus the old 6 there will be 20 candidates altogether. Then the Residents can vote for their 14 candidates. These names together with proposals and seconders must be handed to RB before the AGM.
iv). Names of Candidates together with Proposer and Seconder for each candidate will be posted on the notice board at least 7 days before the AGM by Robert Bench, the property manager.

Resolutions to be approved at AGM

  1. Any expenditure for any projects above RM10,000.00 must be approved at an EGM. Projects which require maintenance repairs to lifts, water pumps, etc and which are of an emergency nature are exempted from this requirement.
  2. The PDPI Security Company is hereby authorized at this AGM, to clamp any vehicle parked at unauthorized area without permission from the security company.
  3. No part of the garden or any common area can be changed into other uses without approval at an EGM.
  4. Resident Association Notice Boards (locked type) which were removed last year must be replaced.
  5. Any unlawful or unauthorized acts committed by MC shall be dimmed to have been committed with the knowledge of the Property Manager at the material time. Both parties shall be sued jointly. This is to ensure the Professional Property Manager gives valid advice and maintains proper minutes of all MC Committee meetings to safeguard himself.
  6. All confirmed minutes of MC committee meetings shall be placed on the Notice Boards within seven days after the meetings.

    Thank you.

    Yours sincerely,
    Concern Residents.

This is very good and is strongly needed. Well done to whoever wrote this. Now residents can take action and kick out the old MC and hopefully peace & quiet shall return to PDPI.
With all these resolutions passed at the AGM, RB cannot claim they are following the orders of MC.
We must make sure old MC does not come in.
Just put your name as a candidate to make up the 14 names required.
Stand up & be counted !!

Residents should call an informal meeting or get-together to suggest names of 14 members for new MC and post them on this website and notice boards to let the residents know.
Many residents make alot of complains but when asked to stand for MC, they say they have no time.
I think those whose cars are blocked by roadside parking should make it a point to stand for MC post, don't expect others not affected to make the sacrifise. If not you all are going to suffer for another year.
We suggest we meet in the garden between 5.00pm to 6.00pm this Sunday 22nd March 2009.
Thank you.

I'm very sorry. This post was published a day later.

Can you suggest another time and place?

Basically, it is the human rather then the system that is causing the problem.
Gate issue, changing gate will it solve any problems. I really doubt so, is just change the problem from behind to the front... moreover, a non window down TnGo system fail after repair or upgrade (are we downgrading it with $$). How are we going to scan when heavy rain,... don't repair it if no solution or system of no card/tag can't enter. Car is still entering without card !
THIS IS VERY OBVIOUS, WASTING PDPI MONEY !!!
