Tender to upgrade/repair the existing garden??

Some of you might have noticed that on Saturday (6/12/2008) afternoon, there was a notice calling for tender to upgrade/repair the existing garden.

The tender was called under the title of "UPGRADE/REPAIR". Look at the 'BRIEF DRAWING AND SPECIFICATION", the area involved was about 49ft x 50ft, that will give you a total area of approx. 2,500sq. ft. It stretches from the reflexology path right to the fish pond. It also shows that the whole area will be tiled up. What will be the environmental impact by covering up the surface drain-off of our garden. With such a vast area of common property involved, the MC members DONOT even bother to get the feedback from the residents/owners. Who do they think they are? During the EGM, the MC members had given their promise not to cut up project into smaller parcels.

The notice was dated 5th December 2008 and the closing date is set at 11th December. With the stretch of week-end and public holidays, potential contractors are left with only 3 (THREE) days to prepare this tender. Why such a haste? Normal practiceis to have at least 14 days to prepare and access the site. 3 days! Probably PRE-ARRANGEMENT has already being connected!

The atmost important flooding and drainage problem has not been settled, they are trying to attack the garden pulak! Everyone I met up has only one thing to say " People are probably thirsty therefore they are desperate to create more and more projects"

up-date 10/12/2008
Yesterday morning some brave ladies confronted some of the MC members. Goh senior said he had corrected the date to 15th December. Goh Junior gave some brief explanation. But those ladies present insisted that the flood and drainage jobs should be placed at the top priority. Any other projects should be put on hold. Then the topic shifted to how to counter the flood problem. Look like the flood problem has been given the importance. You can never be sure, just keep on the look out for any funny tricks.

At the beginning, Goh senior was reminded about the promise of not to cut-up the garden into smaller parcel. The answer given was "It is about car-park issue", so this time their used the title "TO UP-GRADE/REPAIR THE GARDEN". Can some one report to the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) about this misleading tactics.

This coming morning 15th Dec. 2008 MC/RB will be having a meeting, @ 8.30pm. The tender was supposed to be discussed then. Here I would like to call upon unit owners who wish to attend the meeting to write in to the RB for permission to attend.

Updates 16/12/2008
Thank goodness, the MC members had put this project on-hold.

At the present moment, flood and cracked drain problem will be the top on list.
The on-slaughter of the garden is temporary halt. Well until when? Keep our fingers cross.

They have learnt their lesson. Timing is everything. We can only guess they are pushing for "easy project and kan tau" before kena kick out next year. Who say there is FREE LUNCH in this world? Write in officially to RB to lodge an official complain to dispute the tender process.

I, XXX XXX XXX, a registered owner of Unit XXX, hereby lodge an official protest that the call for tender for UPGRADE/REPAIR - BRIEF DRAWING AND SPECIFICATION, posted on the noticeboard on 6/12/2008 (dated 5/12/2008),is ILLEGAL for 2 reasons:
1- The tender did not comply with the official standard period of 14 days.
2- Resident has not be consulted and advised on this project as required by the regulation.

I am writing in advance to declare that the award of the contract by RB for this project to any party is therefor null and void.

Yours sincerely.

Hi Residents, With due respect, I personally DO NOT think any right thinking residents are against any project for the betterment of PDPI. I think majority of the residents just against the way these MC crowns secretly carry out the project without any due consideration for the paying masters - the residents. They treating this place like they own. Have anyone lodge in the above letter to RB?

Also was it true, they commissioned a resident here to do the 3 small drawings for a fee of Rm900. One of the MC member used to hang up with this resident at the corner coffee shop very often. Macan macan pun boleh here?

Thank you for alerting the residents on this issue. This is what I heard. When the brave ladies knew they were misled by MC, they marched to the office on Wed morning. Oldman Goh was in his "office". When he was bombarded with queries on WHY the MC was trying to cheat the residents, he panic and call Young Goh. Young Goh was on leave. He woke up from his slumber sleep and came over the office with half the eyes opened and long face as usual. This is the best part - Part I. Do you think these guys are tough and behave like Tai Kau here? Well that morning, they were like TIKUS. They were so well behave and senyap. They also warned Young Goh not to use bad words on them. He gave his assurance he won't do that. What the SHHHHH.. guy name? Yes, Chua. He was standing outside and dare not go into the office. Seeing that he buddies were defenseless, he picked his gut and went in. This is the best part - Part II. He SOLD OFF Old and Young Gohs by agreeing with the ladies that the draining and flooding problems are more important than upgrading the garden. He gave assurance that these problems should be TOP priority. There you have it.
More drama will be unfold come 15th Dec.

Why should apply to the management to attend. RB is just the sevant of MC and MC is appointed by U all. YOU have the rights to attand any meeting with the council as the council is appointed by the management corporation and you all are the management corporation.

Thanks for appreciating the work done by the early comtt.

Good luck to you all

For 2 conservative days at noon, Residents reported that the Gang of 4 purposely have meeting with some outsiders (some said contractors) in the garden. Are they up to something? Don't trust these Gang of 4 as the other reputable and respected MCs have distant away from them. Their aim is to push thru' their projects by crook or arm twisting like showing off their outsider friends. Han cheng boh hor..mau cari senang makan? I agreed this project will not achieve anything whereas residents of Block K & L have suffered for years because of the car park flooding problem. So why so kan cheong to do the garden? Easy ma.

The MC said they are OPEN and willing to meet residents to discuss about problems or queries. Has the residents been consulted 1st of all on this project that suddenly sprung on the MC's noticeboard on 6/12? Thanks to the resident communities that setup this blog for news and discussion. Without this blog we would No idea what is going on here as the residents don't have venue to express their views. I had no idea what the drawings all about until it was clearly explained in the blog.
Remember the stolen RA noticeboards? So if MC can put up their view, what about the paying residents.
Many residents I met said this is the best idea to keep everybody inform. Blogs and forums are very common nowadays in the e-community. Also I noticed the blog is very well regulated.
Again, well done job admin.
HERE I am expressing my view.
Where else can I do that?
What are your waiting for?
Go blogging!
Have a nice day.

hello, hand drawn drawing ada artistic value ma. I too have problem understanding the drawings. They put them to low to read. Maybe is meant for budak budak. Have to ask the designer/artist to explain his design lah. Anyway anybody him or the MC care to get him to explain his idea to the residents. BTW, how much this drawing cost?
